MGMP MAN Alor: Development of Madrasah Digital Learning and Literacy Media

Head of Islamic Education Section (Kasi Pendis), Kankamenag Kab. Alor, Drs. Mansur B. Samah, M.Pd. accompanied by the Chairman of the Committee, Drs. H. Arsyad Badu and the Head of MAN Alor, Hadi Abdul Aziz Kammis, SH., opened the Subject Teacher Consultation Activity (MGMP) for the 2022/2023 Academic Year which was held at the Cooperative Hall of MAN Alor, Thursday (01/09/2022). This activity has the theme: Development of Learning Media and Madrasa Digital Literacy.

Activities carried out for 3 days starting from the 1st to the end of the year. September 3, 2022, as an effort to increase the competence of subject teachers so that they are able to develop digital-based learning media and learning materials that can be used as literacy materials in carrying out learning in accordance with curriculum targets, the vision of madrasas and the motto of the Ministry of Religion.

Hadi Abdul Aziz Kammis, SH., in his speech said that improving the quality of student learning depends on the ability of teachers to process and develop learning media. The teacher's task is not only to teach by transferring knowledge from books to students, but more than that a teacher must be able to become a motivator who can explore and develop various potentials hidden in students. Therefore, Madrasah teachers must continue to improve themselves, always changing with the principle that today must be better than yesterday.

Hadi added, MAN Alor as an educational institution with Islamic characteristics, always strives to pursue the updated motto of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. Starting from Madrasah Better Better Madrasah to Madrasah Mandiri with Achievements, MAN Alor always strives to improve to achieve this motto. In order to realize this motto, self-development activities for MAN Alor teachers through the MGMP forum are one of the mandatory programs that MAN Alor will continue to implement on an ongoing basis.

Chairman of the MAN Alor Committee, Drs. H. Arsyad Badu, who also serves as the Supervisor of the Alor Regency Education Office, in his speech, advised the MGMP activity participants to be serious in participating in this self-development activity. This activity is the main tool for teachers in planning various activities for the coming year. Currently, Madrasahs carry a sizable trust from more than a thousand parents/guardians, so don't waste this trust. The committee will provide full support for self-development activities like this, in order to create quality teachers who are able to bring the Alor generation to a better direction.

Furthermore, Mansur added, related to efforts to develop Madrasas, it must be done with a sincere heart, because the sincerity and sincerity of teachers in educating will bring big changes to the development of madrasas. Madrasah development must also be carried out with full cohesiveness and togetherness, because cohesiveness and togetherness are strengths that cannot be broken by anyone, and the last is, pray for our students at all times, because the prayer of a teacher is like the prayer of a mother who will be accepted by Allah SWT.

The MGMP MAN Alor activity for the 2022/2023 academic year was attended by 64 subject teachers, and was held for three days (1 to 3/9/22), presenting three resource persons who were competent in their fields, namely, the Head of the Islamic Education Section of Alor Regency, Drs. . Mansur B. Samah, M.Pd., who brought the material on Islamic Education Policy, the Head of MAN Alor, Hadi Abdul Aziz Kammis, SH., who brought the Material for Development of Learning Media, and Lecturer/Researcher at STKIP Muhammadiyah Kalabahi, Rahmad Nasir, M.Pd ., presenting Scientific Publication Materials and Scientific Journal Writing Techniques.

In the 2022/2023 Academic Year, MAN Alor has programmed two activities to improve the human resources of educators and education personnel through MGMP activities and the Continuous Professional Development Program (PKB) which will be implemented in mid-October 2022. The MGMP and PKB programs/activities are expected to become programs strategic Madrasah so as to make MAN Alor an Independent and Achievement Madrasah. **
